CREATING SPACE
I am forever creating something that exists in ‘spaces between’ - not quite in this space or that - something more intangible.
My creative life has been filled with many wonderful spaces.. After more than a decade teaching and creating in the NZ landscape, I entered one of the largest spaces imaginable - the vast Australian desert.
Space in the desert has been rightfully described by many creative minds as both physical and metaphysical., and this ‘space between’ is at the centre of all that I create.
between one social construct and another, between this world and that, between this country, culture, philosophy and another.
I find myself forever perched precariously on the middle stair.
